This comprehensive course allows you to learn at your own pace in micro-learning easy-to-digest lessons.
All textbooks and resources are included in the program fee and are embedded directly in the courses meaning students can seamlessly access and download textbook readings on their mobile devices or computer. Resources are regularly reviewed to ensure up-to-date standards and research. *Textbooks are available in PDF and/or eBook format.
In this course, students are evaluated through knowledge checks and a final exam. Evaluations are designed not only to assess the student's knowledge but also promote research and team work.
Courses are designed as micro-learning experiences allowing students to easily work through each module in short bursts. This method makes it easier for those with busy schedules to get the most out of their learning. Learning can take place on or off-duty to help alleviate any scheduling challenges. Students have access to this course for one year after their start date. Enrollment is ongoing with no cohorts.
This course is designed to provide Community Paramedics with advanced assessment skills and specialized therapeutics required in this growing field. Students will gain a foundational knowledge and feel confident expanding their knowledge in this field through further education. This course is a great addition to your CP continuing education program.
Students may complete this course in as little as 8 hours however you will have access to the course for one year.
Students will perform virtual OSCEs with other students throughout this course to practice their assessment skills and knowledge. Evaluations are based on the content provided in videos, interviews, research papers and required readings. Content is competency-based meaning each course addresses specific competencies necessary for the student to master. Instruction is provided using a range of resources and much of the content is reviewed or taught by healthcare experts in their respective fields for specific courses. We always recommend implementing a continuing education and review routine for yourself to ensure knowledge retention, patient safety and clinical competence and confidence.
There are no prerequisites for this program however this course is designed specifically for community paramedics. This course is only open for paramedics currently working for a paramedic service.
